SeptaTorq
For critical applications – originally designed for Lifeboat grab handles, available in blind or thru.
The name SeptaTorq originates from its 7 legs and the range was originally designed for a project to secure grab handles on lifeboats. SeptaTorq inserts provide the highest pull-out resistance and maximum torque within our range and are ideal for internal applications where failure is not an option.
This product has continued to grow in popularity since the lifeboat project, as the roto moulding industry continues to develop new and technically challenging products requiring greater anchoring performance from threaded inserts.
SeptaTorq inserts feature Anchor Inserts' unique multi-lobed profile. These moulded inserts are recommended where the torque and pull-out requirements exceed what SuperTorq or SuperTorq Lite inserts can provide. Where there is enough space in the moulding to accommodate the larger body of the SeptaTorq, these inserts deliver the highest possible strength for reliable internal fixing and secure internal threads.
Used extensively in composites, carbon fibre, and demanding roto moulding applications, SeptaTorq inserts are also popular when moulding softer plastics such as polyurethane.
